Our client, a long established and highly reputable provider of specialised engineering and technical services to industry, is expanding across Ireland and abroad.
They have engaged CPL to recruit a
Technical Sales Engineer
to join their team in Limerick.
The job: As a key part of the precision engineering sales team, the successful candidate will cover a broad remit and engage pro-actively with their existing client base (primarily in the pharma, food/agri-food and environmental sectors) as well as develop new business opportunities for the company.
Specifically, these duties include ongoing management of key client relationships to promote sustained growth, identifying customer requirements, preparing complex sales tenders and RFQ proposals, consulting with technical specialists, overseeing projects from concept to completion, sourcing new business opportunities through targeted networking activities, delivering accurate sales KPI reports to leadership teams and staying current with market and industry trends in your area.
Responsibilities
Manage key client relationships to promote sustained growth.
Identify customer requirements and prepare complex sales tenders and RFQ proposals.
Consult with technical specialists and oversee projects from concept to completion.
Source new business opportunities through targeted networking.
Deliver accurate sales KPI reports to leadership teams.
Stay current with market and industry trends in the area.
Qualifications
3rd level degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (ideally mechanical, process or similar).
4+ years' relevant technical or engineering-focused sales experience; qualified engineers without prior sales experience will be considered.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with clients on technical and commercial matters.
Excellent attention to detail and IT skills.
Proven ability to work on own initiative and deliver on sales projects.
Full and clean driving license.
The Offer
Salary and total package depend on candidate skills and experience, with a base salary up to approximately €70,000, plus bonus and other incentives, expenses and allowances.
This position is primarily based in the client's Limerick city office with some travel to client sites as required.
Candidates holding restricted visas/work permits will not be considered.
