Due to continued growth, Vertiv/E&I Engineering Ltd is seeking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Engineering Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of the regional engineering team catering primarily for the EMEA market.

Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership in planning, executing, and delivering project design packages, ensuring adherence to specifications along with safety and quality standards.
Identify how engineering can contribute to the achievement of the company\'s strategic initiatives.
Determine which areas can be improved to drive efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure alignment of design packages and standardization of product offerings to streamline design and manufacturing processes.
Act as a point of escalation for resolving issues that may arise during project execution to ensure smooth project delivery.
This will require collaboration with project management, production and the site service departments.
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities in managing the core engineering department of the group in planning, executing and delivering project design packages on time, ensuring adherence to specifications along with safety and quality standards.
Deliver a culture of high productivity within the organisation, ensuring that activities are cost-effective and that the levels of resources are managed effectively.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the design department and seek feedback from stakeholders, monitor industry trends, and explore new technologies and techniques to enhance our Vertiv/E&I products.
Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages growth, accountability, and a sense of pride in the team\'s accomplishments.
Ensure quarterly reviews are carried out for employees to monitor personal development of team members.
Develop methods to measure department performance and create KPIs to present to upper management.
Liaise with human resources to support the development of employees within the organisation.
Familiarize yourself with the company\'s long-term vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
Understand the specific goals and targets set by senior management to guide the company\'s growth and development.
Comply with all necessary legislation and company policies regarding the management of people and data.
Be open to undertaking additional duties beyond the typical role to ensure successful design delivery.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
3rd level qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
Driver of high standards for individual, team and organisational accomplishment and delivering desired results.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with all levels of stakeholders.
A good understanding of business operations and the commercial viability and impact of technical/professional decisions on the performance of the organisation.
Previous experience with initiating and maintaining strategic relationships both internally and externally, using strong influencing skills to achieve business goals.
Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
