Job Title: Chef Location: Shelbourne Bakery, Newry Hours: 8:00 am 5:30 pm, Monday to Saturday (5 shifts per week - no evenings, no Sundays) Contract: Full-time About Us The Shelbourne Bakery and Restaurant celebrates its 104th year in business and has been synonymous with quality all through the years.
Approximately 30 years ago, Mr. Hugh Boyle purchased the Shelbourne Bakery from the Mooney family and since then Mr. Boyle and his son Hugh Jnr.
have developed the business with the help of their excellent staff, investing and refurbishing every area of the establishment to include new kitchens and bake house, through to the well-designed bakery shop and extended restaurant.
The Role Were looking for an experienced Chef to join our restaurant kitchen team.
Youll help prepare and cook our range of breakfast, lunch, and light meal options, ensuring every dish is served fresh, on time, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items to order Assist with daily prep for service, ensuring ingredients are fresh and ready Work efficiently to meet service times and maintain quality Ensure the kitchen meets all hygiene and food safety standards Support menu development with fresh ideas and seasonal specials About You: Previous experience as a Chef in a café, restaurant, or similar setting Good knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations Ability to work well under pressure in a busy service environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Pride in producing high-quality dishes What We Offer: Competitive pay 5 shifts per week with set daytime hours (no late nights) Staff discounts on our products Supportive, friendly working environment How to Apply: Please submit your CV via the apply button below
