Barden are supporting a leading global finance advisory firm in seeking an experienced and innovative Director to join the team in Dublin.
This role is pivotal in driving high-impact engagements, shaping financial transformation initiatives, and delivering exceptional insights to senior stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement Leadership:
Lead multiple complex finance transformation projects from inception to delivery, ensuring on time, on budget, and high quality outcomes.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and sustain strong, trust based relationships with CFOs and senior finance executives.
Act as a trusted advisor on finance strategy, processes, systems, and controls.
Business Development:
Identify new opportunities, contribute to proposal development, and participate in thought leadership activities to expand service lines and deepen market presence.
Team Development:
Recruit, mentor, and manage a high performing team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and growth oriented culture.
Provide career guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support.
Technical Excellence:
Oversee the design and implementation of finance operating models, ERP, FP&A deployments, reporting and analytics solutions, and process optimisation initiatives.
Ensure best practices and rigorous quality standards.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor project profitability, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
Support practice leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the office.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Qualified Accountant, ideally trained in Big 4.
Experience:
Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance transformation, ERP, FP&A implementations, or corporate finance roles.
Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in finance processes (Record to Report, Plan to Forecast, Order to Cash).
Hands on experience with leading ERP and financial planning systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, Anaplan).
Strong data analytics and visualisation capabilities (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor teams, fostering a high performance culture.
