Stores Person: Motor Factors, Auto, Heavy Machinery We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Person to operate from our clients offices in Cashel.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of parts inventory, ensuring the seamless operation of the workshop and providing excellent service to their customers.
This role is crucial to the day-to-day success of our clients business, linking the workshop, sales, and customer service functions.
Key Responsibilities: Receive, unload, and inspect incoming parts deliveries Maintaining a tidy and logical storage system.
Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Utilise an inventory management system to track stock levels, process part orders, and monitor stock movement.
Manage returns and warranty claims with suppliers.
Assist customers at the parts counter, providing expert advice and helping them identify the correct parts for their specific machinery.
Process customer sales, including handling cash and card payments.
Answer customer inquiries via phone and email.
Supply workshop technicians with the necessary parts for service and repair Order special parts not held in stock to fulfil specific job requirements.
Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.
Generate purchase orders and invoices.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the parts department.
Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in motor factors, parts or stores roles Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong computer literacy, with experience using inventory management software.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Problem-solving attitude and a willingness to learn.
