Overview
As a Lead AI Fullstack Engineer at Mastercard, you will be a pivotal force in designing, building, and deploying end-to-end AI/ML solutions.
You will leverage your fullstack expertise to create intuitive user interfaces that bring AI insights to life, while developing robust backend services and integrations that power advanced AI models.
Your work will enable seamless delivery of AI capabilities through user-centric applications.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the complete lifecycle of AI-powered applications, from frontend user experience design and implementation to backend service development and integration with AI/ML models
Develop robust backend services and APIs that orchestrate AI/ML model training, inference, data pipelines, and monitoring; build scalable data ingestion and processing components
Create and maintain engaging, functional user interfaces that allow users to interact with and derive insights from AI models and data
Design and implement high-performance APIs for internal and external consumption to enable seamless communication between components and Mastercard systems
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the fullstack, from frontend responsiveness to backend efficiency, data processing, and AI model inference
Provide technical leadership and guidance, championing best practices in fullstack development, software architecture, and operationalizing AI solutions; mentor junior engineers
Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver AI solutions aligned with business objectives
Ensure adherence to Mastercard's security standards, data governance policies, and compliance throughout all layers of the AI solution
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred
Experience: Minimum 8+ years in fullstack software development, with 3-4 years focusing on AI/ML-driven applications or integrating with AI/ML systems
Technical Skills
Backend: , Python/Flask/Django, RESTful API design
Frontend: React, , TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Cloud platforms and services for compute, storage, databases, and networking
Containerization technologies
CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of fullstack applications
Database technologies
Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle and operationalizing models
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Proven leadership in technical initiatives, cross-functional projects, and mentoring in a fast-paced environment
