Are you an experienced Network Engineer with deep expertise in optical networks and IP protocols?
We're looking for a Senior DWDM Network Engineer to design, build, and scale a cutting-edge global DWDM network for a leading technology client.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and rollout large-scale global DWDM networks
Drive scalable network designs to meet growing customer demands
Develop and implement processes to operate and build the optical network
Collaborate closely with multiple networking teams across the organisation
Evaluate new optical products and lead commercial tender processes
Ensure network adherence to defined standards and review system changes
Lead operational excellence projects to enhance network quality and reliability
Troubleshoot complex network issues and develop innovative solutions daily
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 7+ years industry experience in optical networks and IP networking
Hands-on experience with DWDM network planning, modelling, and rollout
Strong expertise in IP networking fundamentals and protocols
Deep knowledge of major DWDM platforms such as Ciena, Infinera, and Cisco
Experience with Cisco and Juniper routers, including supervisory and line cards
Solid understanding of internet routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF
Excellent network analysis and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with protocols and technologies including DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, SONET (OC3, OC48), 802.2/3, VLANs/STP, IPv4/IPv6, TCP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, IPSEC/VPNs, Netflow, DNS, HTTP
