Digital Technology Solutions Specialist
Your Role At BSI
Our Engineering Compliance team has years of experience developing and implementing BIM technologies across disciplines, directing everything from BIM Execution Plans to clash detection and constructability reviews.
Additionally, Engineering Compliance is responsible for maintaining high-quality work across BSI.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze existing application portfolio for effectiveness and efficiency and assist in developing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
Development of enhancements to existing applications throughout the organization.
Research and make recommendations on software products and coordinate feasibility studies to evaluate fit.
Collaborate with users and leadership team in the testing of new software programs and applications as well as software enhancements.
Work with design software representatives to optimize software platforms used.
Work with Engineering Compliance and Design Coordinators and Discipline Directors to manage CAD/BIM standards, enhance and implement CAD standards.
Work with Engineering Compliance and Design Coordinators and Content Creators to Help develop content for detail/model libraries and templates – ensuring DTS requirements for Integration and Automation are in place.
Assess and recommend Autodesk add-ins, both company wide and discipline - specific in conjunction with Engineering Compliance
Build integration between databases and Autodesk modules.
Application Development
Build enterprise level database applications for increased project execution efficiency.
Provide application testing, vetting, and provide rollout of applications.
Create application documentation for both development code and user instructions.
Integrate and maintain databases across platforms.
Develop and manage application security.
Provide necessary application training for new users.
Execute client related database projects.
Develop a set of capabilities, including people, processes, and technology, to enable the transformation of raw data into meaningful and useful information for the purpose of business analysis.
Management of organization databases to ensure users and applications have access to the right data at the right time with optimal performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology or relevant field required.
Knowledge installing, configuring, deploying, and supporting SQL Server.
Knowledge developing SQL database applications including menus, input forms, reports, integration with 3 rd party applications.
Solution-oriented, self-motivated, positive, and proactive attitude.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to interact and communicate with employees and clients professionally.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, ACC, and other design software is preferred.
Autodesk Platform Services (APS) Development experience is preferred.
