Banking As A Service (BaaS) Technology (a line of business within Payments under Services Technology) is looking to expand its team and we are looking for highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of talented software engineers.
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall technical direction, execution, and delivery of critical software projects.
You will play a key role in shaping our engineering culture, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.Responsibilities:Team Leadership and Management:Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive environment.Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members.Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.Technical Leadership and Execution:Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural principles.Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-quality software the scalability, reliability, and performance of our innovation by exploring new technologies and approaches.Project Management and Delivery:Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.Develop and maintain project plans, track progress, and identify and mitigate risks.Communicate project status to stakeholders regularly.Implement and improve agile development processes.Strategic Planning and Alignment:Contribute to the overall engineering strategy and team goals with company objectives.Identify and address technical challenges and abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Experience:15+ years of experience in software years of experience in a management or leadership role, leading software engineering track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.Experience with agile development methodologies.Technical Skills:Proficiency in programing language – JavaExperience with database systems – ORASSPreferred experience with cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, etcStrong knowledge of repository and version control systems – Bitbucket, GitKnowledge of Devops practices and toolsExperience in using SDLC management tools - JIRALeadership Skills:Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to motivate and inspire a problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Bonus Points:Experience with developing client facing APIs for Banking Industry.Contributions to open-source projects.
