Job Title: Acoustics EngineerOrganisation OverviewOur Client, a leader in the medical device industry, is currently seeking an Acoustics Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
With a recent shift towards Renal denervation technology, this role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects with both mechanical and electrical components.
The company prides itself on fostering innovation, offering a dynamic work environment that encourages growth and collaboration.Role SummaryAs part of this exciting transformation, Our Client is looking to onboard an experienced Acoustics Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving the development and testing of new medical devices.
This position is crucial for ensuring the successful integration of electrical expertise into the team and overcoming current challenges.
The initial contract will be for a minimum of 6 months, with the potential for extension based on performance.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design and testing of single-use medical devicesCollaborate with the team to implement ultrasound technology for Renal denervationUtilize function generators and oscilloscopes for acoustics testingEnsure compliance with industry standards such as IEC 62127 and IEC 61161/IEC 62555Conduct beam mapping and radiation force balance methods for accurate measurementsEssential Skills & ExperienceProven experience in acoustics testing within the medical device industryProficiency in using function generators, oscilloscopes, and hydrophonesFamiliarity with industry standards and calibration traceability requirementsStrong understanding of ultrasound technology and its application in medical devicesDesirable Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience with Renal denervation technologyKnowledge of spatial-averaging corrections and bandwidth requirementsFamiliarity with beam mapping techniques for precise measurementCall to ActionIf you are a skilled Acoustics Engineer passionate about driving innovation in the medical device industry, we encourage you to apply by submitting your CV.
