We support customers across Europe, North America, and Asia, delivering tailored engineering services that drive long-term success.Position summaryNeoDyne are recruiting a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Power Generation & Utilities team.
Our graduate programme is all about learning new and developing your existing skills.
Over a two-year period, you will be placed in projects where you get to do meaningful work and contribute to the business.This Graduate opportunity is offered as a full-time permanent contract, based at our Cork Office, with an excellent salary and benefits package.
If successful, you will enjoy NeoDyne's "People First" company culture, built on mutual respect, trust, and honesty, where each individual actively contributes as a valued team member.What will I be doing?Projects could include preparation of coordinated drawings covering all aspects of installations, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and structural elements.
More specifically, you will be producing Electrical Design including, Electrical Layouts, LV & MV Distribution Design, Control & Instrumentation Designnand General Services Design.Carrying out Power Systems Electrical Studies: Load Estimates, Protection Coordination, Cable Sizing Calcs.
You will have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art engineering software along side leading-edge power system modelling software to run steady state and transient electrical studies, including short circuit studies, and protection studies for proposed renewable generationGenerating technical documentation and dealing with customers will also be key parts of our graduate programme to help develop your soft skills.
You will be producing specifications for various electrical equipment and assemblies: transformers, RTUs, instrumentation etc.You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites to get involved in installation, testing, and commissioning, by participating in design & commissioning of SCADA and control systems in the field: I/O and instrumentation testing, full testing and commissioning.What about training?Our induction programme revolves around a model for learning and development.70% On-the-job Learning: You'll get stuck in from Day 1, working on real projects, delivering real business value to our customers both on- and off-site.20% Learning from others: You'll be part of a team, working with subject matter experts and interacting with our customers daily.

This extends to attaining professional certifications where relevant to our business specialisations.Experience & skillsRequiredLevel 8 Degree in Electrical/ Power Systems/ Energy Engineering, or equivalent.0-2 years' experience in a similar electrical design role or Work Placement.Full Irish driving license or to be achieved within 12 months of starting the role.DesiredExperience in developing Electrical Schematics using AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar.Experience in developing equipment layouts using AutoCAD, or similar.
