Zest Optical are currently recruiting for an Optometrist job in Cork on behalf of a leading independent provider of ophthalmology services, opening a brand-new clinic in Mahon Point .
This is a unique opportunity to join at the very beginning of a new clinic , working within a small, highly focused team delivering advanced eye care services.
The clinic will specialise in pre and post operative assessments , using cutting-edge imaging technology to support surgical pathways, rather than performing surgery on-site. It offers a more clinical, structured approach to Optometry , with an emphasis on quality, precision, and patient care.

Optometrist - Role
- Conduct comprehensive consultations focused on pre and post operative care
- Utilise advanced imaging technology to support clinical decision-making
- Work closely with the wider medical team to support surgical pathways
- Manage patient journeys from assessment through to referral
- Play a key role in establishing and developing the new clinic
Optometrist - Requirements
- CORU-registered Optometrist
- Confident working independently within a structured clinical setting
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Interest in developing clinical knowledge and working with advanced technology
