Main Duties & Responsibilities Preparation of Quotations, assisting the in-house estimator, Client follow-up. Analyse drawings and other documents to seek quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors. Take off from drawings to create orders for projects. Collection of BCAR documentation, Safety and Handover file. Monitor Health and Safety software, update and amend as necessary. Duties including measurements, evaluation of quotations, and appointment of suppliers/sub-contractors. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. A confident individual who adapts well to change and can thrive in a rapidly growing organisation that continues to evolve. Competent in Microsoft excel a word. Consult with clients, vendors, to discuss costs and agree variations. Monitor cost from vendors or subcontractors, explores variances, managing issues in conjunction with manager. Create cost reports on actual costs versus sales. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals. Open to travel to site throughout Munster if required to attend site/ client meetings. Actively promote and participate in improvement, to improve quality, reduce costs, eliminate waste and improve working methods, conditions and communications. Any other duties that may be assigned by your Supervisor. Person Specification Qualifications &Requirements: Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering. Experience in both pre and post contract cost management and procurement. Min 2 years’ experience in Residential or Domestic construction Ambitious and motivated to progress. Knowledge of the Irish market and Irish Building Regulations Manual handling is an advantage. Experience, Skills & Knowledge Strong interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in dealing with Clients, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors. Flexible and can adapt to the challenges of a fast-paced business. Ambitious and interested in self – development. Must be a self-starter with good motivational and inter-personal skills. Rational thinker that can improvise should the need arise. Willing and able to make responsible decisions. Be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland. A full clean driver’s licence which will enable you to fulfil your responsibilities.
