Summary of role We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proactive approach to join our team as Principal Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will be part of our Data Science & Software Engineering team and will be ensuring that all deliverables meet high-quality standards. The candidate must have Strong work ethic & able to perform well in any fast paced environment. Key Requirements: Must have: • A deep understanding of multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of Python. • Very good analytical and creative problem-solving skills. • Excellent understanding of OOP, n-tier architecture and design patterns. • Expert knowledge of Python and related frameworks including Django/FastApi (rest), asyncio (async processing), Redis (cache), sqlalchemy (DB), etc. • Able to design and build larger highly complex component updates without much direction in a shorter time-frame • Strong experience developing cloud native apps with container/k8s on multi-cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure, etc) • Strong experience with event-based messaging, pub/sub, event streams (e.g., Kafka) • Experienced with consuming REST APIs/JSON and GRPC/protobuf protocol • Knowledge of queues, multi-threading, parallelisation, and distributed caching servers • Knowledge of other enterprise level middle tier development languages (e.g., Java, go, etc) • Good knowledge in HTML/CSS/JavaScript with familiarity with React & Angular • Strong SQL experience and knowledge of multiple databases • Able to propose solutions for performance and reliability challenges and provide SLOs • Setting up and assisting internal users with access, usage and configuring of APM tools (ELK, Datadog or similar) Nice to have: • Working knowledge of deploying, developing, and managing cloud platform, automation, and scripting skills such as Python, Ruby, Groovy and shell scripting. • Experience of platform and application automated deployment technologies such as (Ansible, Terraform, AWX) At Carelon Global Solutions, we are committed to protecting your personal data.
