The Role:

As the IT Manager, you'll be a key member of the UK/IRE regional IT team, overseeing IT resources in Ireland and ensuring compliance with legal requirements, including Health & Safety and Data Protection. You will lead and develop the local IT Support Team, building strong relationships with business teams for mutual success.

Additionally, you'll manage local infrastructure and support group IT projects, including the rollout of a new CRM system, with Ireland and the UK as early adopters. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to a multi-year strategic initiative.

 

Role Responsibilities:


Understand Business and IT Strategy

  • Understand the Ireland business strategy alongside the Group and Regional IT strategy.
  • Create and maintain the Ireland IT Roadmap for ongoing discussions.

Project Delivery

  • Execute projects outlined in the IT Roadmap with strong implementation skills.
  • Manage delivery programs by understanding objectives, resource needs, risks, tracking, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Use project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) as needed.

IT Security and Disaster Recovery

  • Maintain IT security and disaster recovery capabilities per group guidelines.
  • Act promptly in emergencies and address security concerns appropriately.

Manage External IT Relationships and Contracts

  • Oversee all external IT relationships and contracts, including suppliers and contractors.

Team Management

  • Manage all IT resources in Ireland, including those not directly reporting to you.
  • Provide effective oversight for resource management, including holidays, expenses, and day-to-day support.


 

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in effectively managing stakeholders and building trust within the broader business.
  • CRM experience and participation in a CRM deployment team is a plus.
  • Strong ability to prioritize projects, take ownership, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with the circular services business model.
  • Broad technical IT skills, including support, system administration, networking, or development.
  • Effective communicator with both the IT team and the wider business regarding IT updates and technical developments.
  • Quick learner of technical terminology and processes.
  • Financial acumen in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and innovation, with a track record of investigating and advocating for new ideas.
  • Empathetic leader who values teamwork.
  • Willingness to travel as required, including overseeing stays and international trips.
