We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team at Boland's Carlow (Volvo, Skoda, Peugeot & Mazda Franchises) as a Workshop Controller. In this role, you are a key influencer who will work closely with Service Advisors, Motor Technicians.
What does the role of the Workshop Controller involve?
- To achieve parts and service volumes with their profit objectives through motivating and developing the Technician team to be fully competent in their job roles.
- To closely monitor and manage all workshop KPI's, such as productivity, efficiency and return on sales.
- To manage the ordering of vehicle parts and monitor all service processes, ensuring that all customers receive excellent customer service.
- Assist and advise team members in dealing with technical and job-related problems
- Ensure all customer satisfaction survey scores are positive.
- Review technicians and apprentices on a monthly basis
What do you need to succeed as a Workshop Controller?
- Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry, main dealer or independent garage
- An excellent understanding of systems and processes operated within this environment.
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and processes.
- Confident with dealing with people at all levels, be able to build an immediate rapport.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Comfortable in negotiating and influencing situations.
- Lead by example to deliver an outstanding customer experience every time.
