About You:

 

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal MLOps Engineer to join our Blue Platform Operations Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and maintaining our machine learning and AI infrastructure and processes on Azure. You will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and software developers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of machine learning models, with a focus on the responsible use of AI.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·       Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable and reliable MLOps pipelines on Azure.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and monitor machine learning models using Databricks and MLFlow.

·       Drive the automation of the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

·       Develop and oversee the maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for machine learning and AI projects.

·       Implement and advocate for best practices in version control, experiment tracking, and reproducibility using MLFlow.

·       Ensure the security, scalability, and efficiency of the machine learning and AI infrastructure.

·       Monitor and troubleshoot production machine learning models to ensure optimal performance.

·       Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in MLOps, cloud technologies, and machine learning.

·       Promote and implement practices for the responsible and ethical use of AI within our teams.

·       Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and guide the strategic direction of MLOps practices.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards for AI applications.

 

Qualifications

 

·       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

·       Extensive experience as an MLOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role in a cloud environment.

·       Strong experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Databricks.

·       Proficiency in using MLFlow for model tracking and lifecycle management.

·       Deep understanding of machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

·       Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).

·       Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and shell scripting.

·       Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

·       Proven track record of solving complex problems and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

·       Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

·       Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring and guiding technical teams.

·       Experience in implementing monitoring and alerting systems for machine learning models in production.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

·       Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).

·       Knowledge of data engineering practices and tools (e.g., ETL processes, data warehousing).

·       Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).

·       Understanding of the ethical implications and responsible use of AI.
