Job Summary:

As an accountant , you will be responsible for looking after the day to day financial matters of our IT services division. This position will report directly to the finance operations manager in Dublin.

Job Responsibilities:

Preparing month end reports Completing monthly and quarterly tax reports and VAT returns Preparing monthly management and group reporting packs Producing monthly and end of year financial statements Managing the delivery of monthly financial statements to strict deadlines Assist with cashflow reporting; working capital reporting Month end balance-sheet reconciliations (debtors, creditors, bank accounts,intercompany accounts, etc.) Board reporting and preparation Assist with preparing monthly financial forecasts Provide support to the annual budget process Responding to financial inquiries Provide business analysis to improve processes, productivity and performance in supporting effective business decision making Identification of cost reductions initiatives to enhance margin growth Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and/or databases to record, monitor and compile information Provide financial and commercial support to the business in pricing reviews, bid preparation and other business development activities; Creating KPI reports Assisting in the audit compliance and internal control responsibilities Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and monitor internal controls Ad hoc duties to support the team

Education and Experience:

Commercially minded qualified financial accountant with experience in audit, planning and management reporting Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) + years post-qualification experience working as a Financial Accountant / Analyst Strong understanding of FRS particularly in relation to the principles of revenue recognition US GAAP experience advantageous Assertive, flexible and open to change with a ‘Can-Do’ attitude (ability to ensure controls and procedures are followed) Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a history of building effective relationships. Ability to prioritise and control workload while ensuring optimum performance Display personal commitment, effort, motivation and initiative in all business dealings. Proficient IT skills; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and ability to quickly learn new systems. Highly accurate, detailed oriented, and has strong follow-up.
