We are currently recruiting for a Calibration technician in an 18 month contract role to support our engineering department in Cork. The main responsibility of this role is the calibration of equipment and management of equipment/artifact recertification.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Performing equipment calibrations within clearly defined SOPs. Assist in drafting / updating Calibration SOPs. Assist wider Engineering team with assessment / determination of calibration equipment for new equipment/processes. Engage with Contractors and arrange site visits to complete equipment calibration. Engaging with production/engineering for availability of equipment to be calibrated. Complete procurement tasks related to equipment purchasing or recertification/calibration. Creates / updates MDTs as required for setup / update of calibration records. Investigates deviations related to calibration equipment. Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving Alcon QS requirements.

What you’ll bring to the role:

A minimum Level 7 qualification in an Engineering or Technical discipline Strong technical ability and calibration experience would be preferred Strong communication skills Ability to work on own initiative. Good problem-solving skills Knowledge of ISO, FDA, GMP standards.
