Urology Registrar

The Mater Private Hospital is seeking a motivated and qualified Urology Registrar to join our dynamic team. This is for a July 2024 start.
About the Role:
In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality urological services to our patients. You will work closely with the Consultant Urologist, participating in ward rounds, reviewing patients, assisting in surgery, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of the Consultant Urologist to provide a comprehensive general urological service.
Participate in daily ward rounds with the urology team.
Take handover from previous shift registrars and ensure continuity of care for patients.
Document patient reviews in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist in surgery as assigned.
Respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and policy development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and participate in continuing professional development programs.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting colleagues and acting as a resource for junior staff.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
Current registration with the Irish Medical Council
Experience at the Registrar level in an acute hospital setting
Skills and Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
