Role Description:
- Front end sample preparation routine lysing and cleaning DNA. Sample registering and scanning of samples. Making buffers when required. Quality control of incoming samples.
Requirements
Role Functions:
- Completion of daily sample registration and reconciliation of same with electronic data
- Prepare buffers, materials as required for analytical procedures
- General Housekeeping
- Assisting routine processing of test samples and associated electronic information
- Lysing and cleaning DNA samples
- Scanning of sample
- Sample quality checks
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in using multi-channel pipettes
- Previous experience in an ISO accredited laboratory
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Familiarity with a manufacturing or production line environment
- Ability to work independently and to daily targets
- Experience in DNA clean up and preparation preferred, not essential
- Work as part of a team to achieve common goals
- Fast learner
- Positive attitude
Qualifications & Education:
- Degree/Diploma in Science Biology or Molecular Biology
