Job Description

The Domestic Inspectors specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

Schedule and Carry out Audits and Inspections  Inspections and Audit findings are to be uploaded to the Scheme Information Management System (SIMS). Prepare reports outlining the findings of Audits and Inspections, audits and Inspections are to be risk based and are both announced and unannounced. Inspectors should be available by phone or email to answer technical queries and provide clarification to all stakeholders Point of contact for all technical queries Attend and participate in all scheduled meeting weekly/monthly/quarterly Assist the SSB Administration and Certificate validation team with queries and clarifications. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on building regulations etc. and advise inspectors accordingly. At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity, and act in accordance with SGS Ireland’s Equality & Diversity Policy

Qualifications

Relevant Third level qualification within Science/Engineering or Construction and/or equivalent Trade qualification within the construction industry Strong knowledge of domestic retrofit energy upgrade works BER Building Energy Rating Qualification Minimum 5 + years’ relevant experience Full clean drivers licence
