Limerick, Ireland Analog Devices Full time

The Automotive Electrification and Sustainable Energy BU's purpose is to engineer a decarbonized, cleaner, and a more sustainable electrified future. With the accelerated on-boarding of renewable power generation sources over the next 20 years, there is a simultaneous requirement to stabilize the energy grid with the rapid addition of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In recognition of this fast-accelerating opportunity, the Sustainable Energy BU has a group focused specifically on delivering products and solutions to the BESS market.

To build out the BESS team, the Sustainable Energy BU is looking to fill several important positions with people who will be key to the success of this group.

The Role

The Sustainable Energy BU has identified the need for a highly motivated Applications Engineer to support product design wins and develop and support battery management system solutions for energy storage systems. The Applications Engineer will collaborate closely with customers and others to develop system solutions for the application and is a critical contributor in winning business and accelerating revenue.

This role has a special focus on wireless BESS solutions regarding RF transceivers, pack development & test, performance and power analysis at system level and enhancing system reliability. Identify emerging technology trends and translate these into product proposals that drive the development of ADI’s business and technology roadmaps. Support your customers and sales colleagues through the entire solution development process, from ideation, proof of concept, validation, and production. Provide the definition, system level hardware, software development and supporting collateral as required. Work with marketing on strategy planning and customer engagement. Create reference designs and platforms aligned to strategic applications. Clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders including customers, partners, team members, and collaborating ADI teams. Build and share technical and application expertise across ADI’s systems applications teams.
