Job Summary

We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the position of Clinical Nurse. The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role. Candidates must be highly motivated, creative and experienced with a passion for engaging with clients on a daily basis.

Nua Healthcare specialises in providing Residential care, Community outreach and Day services to adults and children with complex support requirements on both the Intellectual Disability and Mental Health spectrums. We pride ourselves in providing true person-centred care for individuals in their own home or in appropriate community based care facilities.

Job Objectives

Ensure best practice in the Safe Management and Administration of Medication throughout the service. Organise and manage clinics. Provide Clinical supervis.ion to nursing team. Develop and deliver Clinical Training as required Support in the development of Policy, Protocols, and Guidelines in line with best practice. Support the Monitoring health checks relevant to certain medication. Liaise with other Health Care Professionals. Support in the development of Health/Intimate Care/Medication Plans for new admissions. Write up Memorandums of understanding with external Psychiatrist/Professionals. Respond to clinical needs with any house across the service. Monitor and address medication errors. Administration of depots and phlebotomy as required.

Skills Requirement

Be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management. Effective verbal and written communication. An understanding of the needs of individuals. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work on own initiative. Experience of relating to people in a supportive role. Willingness to learn. Reliability and flexible approach to work. Good organisation and IT skills. Self-motivated / Self starter. Ability to plan time effectively. Full current driving license.
