About the opportunity
Jacobs is committed to playing a leadership role in Global Energy Transition. Our European and Global teams are growing and we’re looking for a Lead on Energy & Power projects across Ireland and the wider business.
Our Energy & Power team provides a range of services to our Transmission and Distribution and Generation clients in addition to cross-market solutions to our non-energy clients. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind and solar farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors.
The role would include management of our two frameworks for EirGrid, in addition to a lead role in the growth of the Energy & Power team and client base in Ireland.

Work-life balance and flexibility is a key focus area for Jacobs. Our Irish Energy and Power team is represented across Dublin, Cork and Belfast, however we can be flexible about location and are happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours to suit you and our business.
Key Responsibilities
Own client relationship with EirGrid and other Irish Energy & Power clients, including escalating key issues and leading on client feedback/issues. Develop, implement and own growth plans, client engagement and key sales pursuits for Energy & Power clients in Ireland Develop and ensure that there are sufficient and appropriate framework management controls in place to enable effective and consistent project delivery to time and budget. Represent Jacobs externally; within industry, supplier’s reviews and client forums. Deliver the EirGrid Framework operating plan in line with expectations for gross margin, billable hours and revenue forecasts. Ensure policies and procedures and that all appropriate quality assurance (QA) requirements are in place. Demonstrate visible leadership across Health, Safety and Well Being: ensuring the application of Client and Jacobs best practice for health, safety and wellbeing. Liaison with the Jacobs Technical leadership teams to ensure we are pursuing opportunities, showcasing innovations, and broadening our offering. Including managing reach back from across the Jacobs global team. Functional management of Ireland based Energy & Power staff, ensuring effective resource deployment and targeted recruitment Support selection and assignment of PMs to projects, matching the PM skills to the challenges of the project. Support the Project Managers in the delivery of the projects including supporting any invoicing and payment issues. Ensure that all projects are reviewed in a monthly project review (PR) or other agreed basis in order to identify current and anticipated problems. Attract, recruit and retain the best talent in the industry to meet client and business demands.
