Senior Software Engineer C++

Playrix is ​​one of the most successful mobile game development companies in the world. In terms of mobile application revenue, we rank first in Europe and are in the top 3 worldwide. The Playrix technology team is developing a world-class engine which has been used to write all of the company's hits. We are proud of our product and can safely compare it in terms of quality and capabilities with engines like Unity and Unreal. We believe that development teams should be able to focus on the product while we take care of advanced technologies.

We have big plans for the growth and development of our projects, which is why we are looking for the strongest experts to join our development teams.

That said, experience in game development is not at all necessary: ​​we have an excellent adaptation system to ease the transition for beginners or experts from other industries.

This role requires relocation from Russia and Belarus to one of our offices or remote work from other countries (except Russia and Belarus). Find out more .

Tasks

Develop new editors, tools, and utilities for game development

Expand the functionality of current editors

Expand/refine the UX

Support and improve existing code

Our stack

We work with the modern C++17 standard and we use standard libraries, including Boost We work with Python to automate content pipelines, tests, processes, and data validation We use CMake for build automation.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in developing commercial projects in C++

Experience in developing game engines or editors

Experience in designing the architecture of complex applications

Cross-platform development experience Preferred

Preferred

Experience in mobile game development

Knowledge of OpenGL/OpenGLES

Familiarity with game engines (Unity, Unreal, Godot, Cocos2D, Defold, etc.)
