Whitewater is headquartered in Bray, Co. Wicklow and operates from European bases in Spain, Sweden, Italy and UK, with plans for further offices to open in Germany, Denmark and Finland. The Group is experiencing significant growth due to its focus on off-site construction methods of delivering turnkey projects, meaning on-site construction time is kept to a minimum.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Manager at Whitewater Group in Dublin. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, analytical skills, procurement, and contract management on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation, with a strong ability to drive cost efficiencies and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of a comprehensive procurement strategy tailored to the project's goals, timelines, and budget, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Manage the full procurement cycle, from sourcing and negotiating to purchasing and contract management.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers; negotiate terms and secure agreements to ensure the best value and quality.
- Oversee contract negotiation, execution, and administration, ensuring compliance with all terms and facilitating resolution of any issues that arise.
- Monitor market trends and changes in supply chain dynamics to inform procurement strategies.
- Work closely with design, engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Monitor procurement performance metrics, prepare regular reports for senior management, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop, implement and maintain a Sustainable Procurement Policy that meets the requirements of our customers and aligns with the company's sustainability goals.
- Educate team members on sustainable procurement to promote compliance with the Sustainable Procurement Policy.
- Integrate climate impact measurement to supply chain tracking.
- Pre-qualify suppliers based on their environmental, economic and social impact. This may require the use of a supply chain management software.
- Comply with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
- Promote circularity in procurement by seeking opportunities to reduce the demand for products and services (reduce, reuse, recycle), and by identifying opportunities for waste products to be upcycled through partnerships with other organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, supplier evaluation, and negotiation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and procurement software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience in M&E contracting in water treatment, DC, pharma or other industrial construction sectors is a plus
