We are hiring a Occupational Therapy Manager  for a Private Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide a high quality professional occupational therapy service to inpatients, day-care and outpatients at through hands-on delivery of care, plus demonstration and education as appropriate.
  • Develop a shared sense of commitment and participation among staff in the development of the occupational therapy service.
  • Participate in the preparation of plans for the service and monitor and report on their implementation as required. 
  • Monitor research and new developments.  Initiate, facilitate and take part in relevant research and promote awareness of ongoing and current research.
  • Keep up to date with the latest development in occupational therapy using current research to enhance the delivery of patient care.
  • Be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of service in designated area.
  • Review and allocate resources within the designated area, in collaboration with the Line Manager and relevant others.


     

Requirements
  • BSc (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent recognized and CORU validated qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum 5 years’ satisfactory post qualification experience in Oncology & Palliative care, Elderly Care, Rheumatology, Hand Therapy, Acute Medical Care in an acute hospital setting. Of which at least 2 years should be as Senior Occupational Therapist.
  • Membership of Association of Occupational Therapists Ireland or equivalent therapy professional body.
  • Experience in an acute setting or within the specialities outlined above.
  • Evidence of the ability to achieve results through effective collaboration in a complex environment
  • Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team, patients and relatives.
  • Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative.
