Detailed Description

Join our team as a Tool Room Technician and enjoy a full-time role (Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week). 

You'll be responsible for essential tool-room activities that ensure effective production maintenance and support various project activities. This is a great opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment. 

Key Responsibilities:


- Machine and fabricate parts as required to optimize equipment availability. 
- Maintain safety stock levels of working shadow board items. 
- Repair and refurbish equipment and component parts as needed. 
- Maintain tool room equipment and gauges. 
- Implement tool-room housekeeping practices. 
- Support production with off-line maintenance activities. 
- Assist engineering projects requiring tooling. 
- Coordinate all tool-room activities across four shifts. 
- Maintain a database of tool-room activities, cost avoidance, material usage, etc. 
- Manage tool-room stocking levels. 
- Ensure all safety procedures are strictly followed. 
- Handle chemicals safely and with awareness.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

- High-level competency in using tool-room equipment, such as lathes, surface grinders, milling machines, and lapping machines. 
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
- Demonstrated high level of technical ability. 

Typical Experience

- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a tool room environment. 
- Strong teamwork abilities. 
- Commitment to achieving manufacturing excellence. 
- Certification/Diploma/Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or toolmaker qualification.
