Fixed term Social Care Leader/Person in Charge (PIC) Recruitment Opportunity

Delta Centre was founded in 1989, to provide day services for adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.  Service Users attend from Carlow and surrounding areas. The service currently supports 183 service users across a range of services which include, Day, Residential, and Supported Living and Respite.  Delta Centre is an integral part of Carlow and employs up to 250 full and part-time skilled staff.

Our Mission: Delta Centre provides training, residential, respite, day, and multi-sensory services to adults with learning disabilities. We strive to ensure that the rights of each individual attending the service are upheld, including their right to equality, dignity, privacy, safety and respect. Encouragement and support is given to each person attending the service to develop to their maximum potential to improve their quality of life.

We are currently recruiting for a fixed term Social Care Leader/Person in Charge (PIC) for our Residential Services (120hrs office base including on-call)

Qualifications & Experience

       QQI Level 8 (Honours) Degree in Social Care or equivalent

       Recognised People Management course or currently enrolled in one

       A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in the area of intellectual disability

       A minimum of 3 years leadership experience within a healthcare setting

       Excellent IT and administrative skills.

       A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence

A strong commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those with an intellectual disability are essential attributes for this role. The successful candidate will need great people skills, be flexible and have experience with rapid and complex changing work environments.
