Responsibilities

: Receive cheese orders and check for quality issues in packaging and cheeses Enter orders into stock intake system Checking stock is stored in correct date order - on a ‘last in, last out’ basis Selecting cheese that is perfectly ripe and in best condition for the customer Cutting the cheese to spec Wrapping cut cheese in cheese paper, to best-in-class presentation standards Cutting & packing cheese to order – recording stock movement Ensure stock is scanned at every stage of movement · Stock replenishment Sharing knowledge about cheese styles, quality control, storage Dealing with trimming, rind overgrowth, catching quality issues early Report quality issues or queries to Cheese Category Manager and the QC department Maintaining cheese storage room and cut cheese production room according to QC training courses. Collaboration with: Speciality Cheese Category Manager, Food Safety & Quality Manager, Cheese Buyer, Cheese Cutting staff. Attendance at cheese training and customer events, both on-site and off-site

Key competencies

Outgoing, energetic individual, with a passion for food Organized, and competent in planning. Minimum 3 years’ experience in fast-moving, food environment Likes eating cheese. Will taste all cheeses in our range. Exceptional knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness standards · Interest in continuous personal development by becoming an expert in farmhouse, live-mould cheese. Strong customer service skills Strong communication skills Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Ability to work in a cheese storage environment Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to present product range to customers. A forklift licence is beneficial but not essential
