Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate JX or JQ endorsement preferredElementary K-5 All Subjects (ZG) may be consideredAdditional endorsements will enhance your application Responsible for all curriculum and duties associated with comprehensive music offerings in grade K-5 (current grade range) Should possess knowledge of Orff/Kodaly philosophies of music education Must be able to work in harmony with the fine and performing arts faculty, building a comprehensive and detailed curriculum to serve the needs of students and the community Willingness to begin development of early and middle school choral offerings Encourages the development of the love of music by students Creates a positive, engaging classroom environment that is conductive to learning and appropriately responds to the maturity level and interest of the students Working knowledge of best practice strategies Ability to collect and analyze data to assess student achievement Ability to provide differentiated instruction for students Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff members, and students Ability to provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment Demonstrated Technical Skills Keyboarding, internet, and emailFamiliarity with student information systemsExperience with Microsoft Word including Word and ExcelGoogle applications including Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and SlidesPossess computer competency and familiarity with emerging technologies Pass background check
