Painter/Panel Beater Assistant

Barna Recycling, Connacht's leading waste management provider, are currently seeking a panel beater's assistant in our workshop at our Carrowbrowne Facility just outside Galway City. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn all aspects of painting/panel beating on cars, light goods and heavy goods vehicles.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

        Assisting with all aspects of work in our workshop.

        Assisting with filling and sanding vehicle bodies/body parts.

        Assisting with restoration, refinishing and repainting work.

        Dismantling and assembling various vehicle parts.

        Washing and preparing vehicles for painting.

        Maintaining a clean work environment and follow health & safety procedures.

 

Skills:

        Willingness to learn all aspects of work within the workshop.

        Ability to use hand and power tools associated with the job.

        Ability to work on your own and within a team.

        Attention to detail.

        Knowledge/interest of car mechanics.

 

Qualifications:

        Strong interest in automotive industry.

        Experience in a similar role an advantage.

 

 

Remuneration:

        Competitive rate depending on experience.
