Beacon Hospital is one of the most advanced hospitals in Europe, with over 1,500 consultants, nurses and healthcare professionals. We provide 24-hour, world-class acute care services, including a comprehensive cancer centre, cardiology, emergency department, orthopaedics, women's and men's health, urology, vascular surgery, ENT, plastic surgery, neurology, health screening and general surgery.

The hospital has experienced significant growth in recent years and is continuing that expansion in 2024 and beyond.

The team currently consists of 18 people broken out into financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, payroll and accounts payable. This role would sit within the financial reporting unit and report directly to the financial controller.

The Role:

The standard tasks that fall under the cashier role are:

  • Daily reconciliation of all patient payments to Meditech postings
  • Liaising with the relevant staff to ensure posting errors are corrected in a timely manner
  • Managing the weekly lodgement of cash and cheques
  • Assisting with the monthly Meditech bank reconciliation

Criteria:

  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel would be beneficial in this role
  • Prior experience in a hospital environment and using the Meditech system is an advantage, but not a requirement
