Spa Manager

We at the Shearwater Hotel & Spa, Ballinasloe have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident Spa Manager to join us in our award-winning & newly renovated Spa and Beauty Bar, "Shear-Beauty". The successful candidate will have a genuine love for the industry and a passion for delivering the very best services to our loyal client base. Yonka & Image experience is an advantage however we will provide full training with these brands.

The successful candidate will:

• Oversee training, payroll, evaluation, and service standards for spa staff.
• Manage and motivate all spa employees.
• Monitor customer service, inspecting rooms, and speaking with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify new business and marketing opportunities.
• Liaise between the hotel front office and sales operational departments; clients and guests for conference groups; and guests as required.
• Establish and maintain a professional business relationship with all vendors.
• Develop and implement Spa goals, policies and procedures.
• Produce annual marketing plan in conjunction with the Hotel.
• Promote and sell customised spa programs to conference groups as required.
• Participate in the annual budgeting and forecast process.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing and promotions, and sales techniques.
• Perform department annual employee performance development plans.
• Attend Hotel communication meetings as necessary
• Complete regular stock-takes and ordering as necessary, review brands, plan and implement systems to maximise sales and revenue

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 3-4 years previous experience with 1 year in a supervisory or management position
• Relevant qualifications
• Proven Spa Therapist experience and knowledge of treatments required
• A background working with Image or Yonka would be desirable
• Knowledge of Aesthetics is desirable
• Experience in sales would also be desirable
