Lilly is currently constructing a Next Generation Biotech Drug Substance Manufacturing Facility in Limerick, Ireland. This facility will be Lilly’s most technically advanced manufacturing site and will include next-generation manufacturing technologies and advanced data collection and analysis platforms that will deliver improvements in safety and quality, and increased productivity and process performance.

Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be a part of the Lilly team for the startup of a greenfield manufacturing site.

The Communications Lead for Limerick will own the site internal communications strategy & roadmap and will act as the site communication champion to create focus and alignment while supporting inclusion, our high performing teams and people-centred culture.

Key Responsibilities :

In line with the position description above, you will have responsibility for the following:

Implement Internal Communication Strategy & Roadmap that promotes inclusion, a culture of compliance and fosters employee engagement while creating an organizational effectiveness mindset:Revise & refine & implement the communications strategy to facilitate the delivery of relevant, timely internal communications.Identify, own & implement appropriate communications tools to enhance collaborative ways of working together.Establish best practices for creative internal communications that suit our digital native plant. Research and identify new industry techniques and areas for continuous improvement to maximise successful outcomes. Implement a system to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of all communication strategies, platforms, policies and procedures. Supporting the delivery of the strategic objectives - creating alignment and support for Site strategy over the long term. Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders for all site wide communications.Ensure timely, relevant, honest, effective and engaging communication, while being sensitive to how it affects employees. Fosters a sense of pride and achievement. Promote open dialogue and provide opportunities for employees to share their feedback is essential. Create and lead an employee communication & engagement forum to enhance the overall employee experience and foster employee engagement across the site. Collaborate closely with internal partners across all functions (including Ireland Public Affairs) and cultivate strong relationships to maximise the effectiveness of communications. Provide support to leadership and stakeholders in preparation for strategic site visits. Provide input into leadership development in areas of communication & engagement. Provide communications guidance to colleagues as required and assist in the curation and delivery of communications training. Provide communication insights and support to site committees, e.g. DEI, Corporate Social Responsibility, Health & Safety, Wellbeing and Team Lilly Culture Drive/Influence opportunities for Limerick to brand/promote itself across all facets of the business

Basic requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related discipline. Must have supported a 24/7 shift manufacturing environment A minimum of 5 years experience as a communications professional

Additional requirements:

Strong interest in building our site culture and how we work together to ensure the future success of our site. Demonstrated ability to establish relationships across all levels and work as part of a cross site team. Demonstrated excellent communication and listening skills and an ability to influence to site leadership and stakeholder. High learning agility and ability to develop and implement solutions collaboratively. Strong self-awareness and willingness to adapt approach based on situation. Ability to work independently and own initiatives as needed. Ability to recognise if/when communication messages and delivery methods need to be tailored for specific audiences. Excellent project and time management skills A proven ability in delivering end-to-end multichannel communication campaigns and an ability to demonstrate clear deliverables and outcomes. Previous experience of company intranet, content management systems and /or other related communication tools Previous experience in the production and/or presenting of multimedia elements such as video, podcast, etc. is desirable but not essential. Previous experience in delivery of communication training/workshops is desirable but not essential. Previous event management experience is also desirable.
