We are hiring a Medical Scientist New Grad  for a Private Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory scientific work to the highest possible standard in accordance with the Laboratory Department’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • In co-operation with the Consultant Pathologist, Laboratory Manager, Senior Medical Scientist, and the Chief Medical Scientist, participate in the introduction of new ideas and methods according to Hospital policy.
  • Participate as required in the registration, custody and stock level of the Laboratory reagents and other consumables.
  • articipate in facilitating arrangements for educating and training staff 
  • Adhere to quality standards and ensuring a quality service is provided at all times.
  • The post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post and to contribute to the development of the post whilst in office.




Requirements
  • Must be registered with CORU or eligible for membership upon completion of study or in the process of applying for state registration.
  • Membership or eligible for Membership of the Academy of Clinical and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM)   
  • An equivalent qualification validated by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM).
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Science from the Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT). Or
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) Biomedical Science, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). Or
  • Bachelor in Science Honours degree in Biomedical Science from the Joint University College Cork – Cork Institute of Technology course AND Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Practice.
