About the Capital Analyst role

In this position, you will be working on the Capital Actuarial team. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Quarterly SCR production, complex actuarial/capital model analyses, review and validation of elements of the internal model. Provide Input and support Solvency II compliance including – ORSA, AFR, RSR, SFCR, Profit and Loss Attribution report, QRTs and other regulatory reporting. Collaborate cross functionally with a variety of the group’s teams. Provide first line validation work, support model change and independent validation activities. Aid and contribute to the Finance, Capital, Reinsurance, Risk and Investment teams.

Actuarial skills required

This role would suit a Part Qualified Actuary who has over two years’ experience working in an actuarial setting. Non-life experience is advantageous. Additional skills required include:

Experience across multiple functions is preferable. Strong experience using spreadsheet software and R. Knowledge of other statistical and actuarial tools and techniques. Intermediate knowledge of actuarial professional guidance and relevant legislation, finance and accounting practices. Knowledge of insurance industry’s trends major issues and regulatory considerations. Competent at prioritising and planning and has a can-do attitude and customer focused approach.
