As a Kitchen porter you will report to the KP supervisor & head chef:


Responsibilities of Kitchen Porter/cleaning assistant


  • To ensure that the kitchen is cleaned to an acceptable standard including walls, flooring, presses, cookers, fridges etc.
  • To ensure that all dirty dishes, glasses, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans are cleaned
  • To ensure that the floors whenever necessary and at the end of every shift are brushed and washed thoroughly busing the correct detergent as outlined in chemical training
  • To ensure that all spills are wiped up immediately
  • When required to help clean and service of the yard.
  • To ensure that all rubbish is disposed of correctly including cardboard boxes with respect to our recycling policies.


Requirements of Kitchen Porter /cleaning assistant

  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Communicable level of Spoken & written English
  • Impeccable standards of hygiene
