Job Description:
Our client, a luxurious property in Co Meath, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Chef de Partie (Sr. CDP) to join their culinary team. As a Senior CDP, you will be responsible for managing your section while providing leadership and guidance to junior kitchen staff. You will ensure that the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are maintained, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior chefs, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu development, contributing ideas and assisting in the creation of new dishes.
  • Ensure that stock levels are maintained, ordering supplies when necessary, and minimizing waste.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
  • Assist in the smooth operation of the kitchen, stepping in to support other sections as needed.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that your section operates efficiently and effectively during service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a luxury or high-end hospitality setting.
  • Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality and creativity.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience training and guiding junior kitchen staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
