On behalf of my client in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, I am recruiting for a General Operative with Driving Duties for a period of six months.

The role responsibility:

Driving

  • Transport and stock fish.

Fish Farm Duties

  • Prepare hatchery trays, troughs, screens, etc., for hatching ova;
  • Strip fish each year;
  • Carry out minor maintenance of grading and pumping equipment
  • Prepare ponds for rearing larger fry, feed and grade same, as necessary
  • Undertake whatever duties of a general nature which may be assigned
  • Carry out semi-skilled work such as the operation of hand tools and machinery.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A full driving licence - Category C valid in the State
  • Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • No convictions under the Irish Fisheries Legislation
  • Eligibility to work in the State
  • Fluent English - both in spoken and written English
  • Competency in and on the water (both at sea and in lakes and rivers)

Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, longer days may be required due to length of trip

Rate of Pay: €16.32 per hour.
