Transport Technology Engineer

Job Description:

he ideal candidate will be involved in transport-related programmes and projects that will be both exciting and challenging. The scope of the role will include but not limited to: 

Preparing designs and documents

Developing Contract documents

Managing Projects to ensure compliance with requirements

Recording and Reporting Project Progress 

Setting up and maintaining Project Plans, Records, Reports, Logs and Registers 

Preparing, managing and maintaining complex project data 

Managing the Smooth Flow of Information throughout the Team

Developing and enhancing relationships through project delivery

Requirements 

3 years’ experience or working in a project design/control/management environment

Experience in delivery of infrastructure or change projects, particularly related to ICT and transport technology is preferred. 

Planning, monitoring and reporting on complex projects 

Strong independent judgment and analytical abilities including project delivery methodologies from business planning through construction to post-completion benefits realisation 

Strong interpersonal skills, team working, communication, problem solving, presentation skills and stakeholder management 

Team-working and leadership qualities essential 

Strong focus on quality 

Ability to prioritise and manage competing activities and people simultaneously while meeting deadlines 

Willingness to travel on short term assignments

Ability to work alone with minimal supervision or in large multi-disciplinary teams.

Systems integration knowledge and experience a positive.

Degree qualified Engineering, ICT, Construction or related discipline 

Desirable Attributes

Prior experience of Intelligent Transport/Mobility Projects

Systems integration knowledge and experience.

Experience in working with or designing fibre/wireless networks

Experience on Utility type projects

Working knowledge of CCTV systems

Smart Motorway and C-ITS experience

Prior experience working in a Consultancy environment

Full Irish Driving Licence
