Signode is seeking a highly motivated Legal Counsel Global IP covering the EMEA region. 

Core Responsibilities

Managing Signode’s Global Intercompany IP licensing program, including contract management, royalty rate reviews, and general compliance Overseeing a portion of Signode’s Global IP portfolio (patents, trademarks, designs, know-how), including handling renewals Reviewing Signode public-facing documentation (product manuals, marketing copy, etc.) for Global IP compliance Negotiating intellectual property related contracts, including confidentiality agreements Assisting with third-party IP licensing activities, including negotiation and management of contracts and collection of royalties Assisting with IP litigation as needed Supporting EMEA business units regarding day-to-day commercial issues and litigation management. Negotiating and analysing various contracts. Overseeing GDPR Europe and global data privacy issues; responding with IT to all data breaches Managing Corporate Secretarial matters in the EMEA region. Support project management for compliance initiatives Support legal and compliance training courses Qualified Attorney at Law / Licensed local lawyer 5-7 years IP and commercial law experience Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with a significant number of different groups from intellectuals to varying levels of technical knowledge Ability to prioritize numerous projects and relationships effectively Fluent English language skills essential. Fluent French desirable. Ability to work independently/self motivated Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines Willingness to undertake some travel
