Production Supervisor

The Role: Irish Country Meats are seeking to appoint an experienced Production Supervisor to our Navan facility. Working closely with the Operations and Production Manager the successful candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of different production areas within the processing facility.

Key responsibilities:

• Understand day-to-day management and direction of the team.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety of personnel.
• Ability to work with the quality team to ensure standards are being met.
• Recommend and Implement measures to improve production.
• Appointees must have excellent organizational and communication skills with the confidence to build and work with a team.
• Liaising with various departments such as Sales, Planning, Operations.
• Manage effective working and performance of production personnel and work with HR Manager to resolve any HR issues.
• Manage absenteeism and liaise with HR to address any issues.

Additional responsibilities may arise depending on the overall business needs.

The Candidate: The successful candidate will ideally have practical experience in a similar manufacturing or supervisor position within the food processing industry and meet the following criteria.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with excellent English skills.
• Strong people management skills.
• The ability to work on own initiative and be self-organised & disciplined.
• Have an energetic, self-motivated and flexible approach in all matters.
