Overview

Are you a Financial Accountant looking for your next opportunity? If so this permanent role could be the one for you. This role is part of the Reporting Team and you would be responsible for the provision of all Gatorade financial reports to the North America team.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting and Reporting

Support the appropriate delivery of financial results through structured joint-effort with the GGCS Control team and the PGCS Concentrate sites. The key deliverables are (i) interface of financial information from P17 to P11 (ii) preparation of the periodic GGCS reporting schedules (management reports, hyperion reporting, Trail Balance analysis) (iii) HFM reporting for GGCS & PCNA (iv) cause of change analysis (v) management of intercompany transactions (vi) updating and remediating any controls failures within team. Demonstrate and apply knowledge of accounting and tax principles to ensure accurate reporting of periodic results, ensuring compliance with local/US reporting requirements and adherence with the principles of the Concentrate model. Ensure accurate and timely financial reports through balance sheet review, cause of change analysis, and identification of opportunities for streamlining of financial operations and ensuring GCS requirements are adhered with. Facilitate/prepare the period end reporting files with no reporting errors. Support the appropriate delivery of financial for International Reporting. Deal with external and internal auditors as required to ensure compliance of audits and statutory requirements.

2. Financial Control Environment & Asset Stewardship

Define and implement internal controls in order to maintain compliance with financial policies and Global Control Standards, and actively review same for continued compliance. Act as central contact within team on control matters across customer base. Actively participate in projects across the Control and Reporting (such as process improvements), to capacity build, drive efficiencies and assist in the delivery of Objectives. Liaise with external and internal consultants to ensure statutory compliance. Qualifications

Essential Skills: 

Multinational experience in Financial Control and Reporting. Ability to work cohesively within a team environment, to ensure a balanced approach to all priorities is taken. Experience working with Enterprise, Resourcing, and Planning (ERP) Systems and Databases – SAP / Business Objects/HFM/Cognos. Demonstrate a strategic mindset, with an ability to take into consideration the “bigger picture”. Stakeholder focused – managing expectations across a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external. Proven track record in applying business judgment, through experience and insights gained in large projects and through the analysis of issues from a business logic perspective. Able to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines, while at the same time displaying good judgement and business decision making skills. Driven to delivery productivity, and process improvement while continuing to apply strategic perspective. Experience in leading project teams from a planning and team leadership perspective, including a demonstrated ability of setting the agenda.
