This role sits within the Health Finance Operations department, comprised of a number of client and partner facing teams: credit control, cash allocation, broker commission, reinsurance, claims payment investigations.
You will be responsible for the Governance and control of the day to day. To act as a support channel for both the finance operation teams and wider business offering creative solutions to complex tasks and promote a positive and supportive customer centric culture by developing strong trusting working relationships with peers and management through engagement, ownership, and problem resolution.
A snapshot of your key responsibilities:
Technical Specialist:
· Complete day-to-day tasks as assigned, working within the established SLAs
· Complete monitoring and reporting activities as required to support the Finance Operations management reporting
· Review and approve payments in line with the Financial authorisations limits
· Ensure client centric approach with timely responses to communications from clients, brokers, or the Sales and CRM teams
· Develop detailed knowledge of the team’s processes and system functionality in order to support query and issue resolution as required
· Actively engage with team and support as needed to manage business volumes
· Assist with any new arrangements that are onboarded into the team – supporting additional volumes or adapting processes to suit client needs
Participate in other finance operations activities as required:
· Act as a key participant within own team and the wider Company by taking part in department initiatives, providing feedback/updates, promoting collaborative solutions and supporting colleagues/department.
· Taking ownership of any errors/issues identified, ensuring prompt remediation action is taken while applying problem solving and innovation skills. Also ensuring team/line management are kept up to date on potential issues/escalations.
· Identify opportunities for process efficiencies within the department. Drive and implement changes devising collaborative creative customer centric solutions in line with the Finance processes.
· Develop a strong trusting relationship within own team and line management promoting an honest two way communication environment. Develop strong working relationship with the FSS (Finance Shared Services) team in India
Requirements:
· 3-4+ years’ experience in a Finance Operations, Credit Control or Finance environment
· Demonstrable experience in a busy client facing role
· Experience effectively dealing with high volumes and quick turn-around times within pressurised environment.
· Proven experience identifying and implementing problem solving skills to resolve complex queries
· Highly numerate, with strong attention to detail, and comfortable working in excel
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interact effectively at various levels with the company, from officers to senior management
· Experience Multi-tasking while meeting challenging deadlines.
· Fluency in a second European language would be an advantage
· Educated to Degree Level; Business/Finance/Accountancy related
· Demonstrable knowledge of the following tools & languages would be an advantage: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Access
· Personal Effectiveness – highly motivated, proactive, self-starter, responsible and highly committed, high attention to detail and accuracy
