We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for our Nursing Home in Co Carlow. This job is for someone who wants to join a busy and well-established nursing home group. The Director of Nursing will play a key role in leading our nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist employees with clinical supervision and leadership to raise standards and keep team morale high.
  • Create and preserve a person-centered, compassionate environment that meets each resident's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs by upholding the highest standards of professional behavior and practice.
  • Encourage, support, and put the person-centered care philosophy into practice.
  • Participate in resident safeguarding by taking action to keep residents safe from abuse or neglect of any kind and by using the proper channels to report any concerns to the right people.
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, and days as needed.


Requirements
  • Nursing degree at the third level.
  • Have an active PIN and be registered with An Bord Altranais.
  • Current and valid certificates in dementia, medication management, infection control, manual and resident moving and handling, CPR, and safeguarding vulnerable adults (training can be offered if necessary).
  • A post-registration degree in healthcare administration or a related field is necessary. If such a qualification is not met, the appointee will have to complete such training.
  • It is preferable to have post-registration training in dementia care or gerontology.
  • Six years or more of post-registration nursing experience is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in a nursing home.
  • It is preferred to have at least one year of management-related work experience.
  • Shown professional expertise and a strong commitment to provide exceptional care for the elderly.
