Building a sustainable tomorrowWe are recruiting for an Architectural Technician to join our Design Team working in MHI Office, Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan.
Your mission- In your new role you will be given the opportunity to work on an exciting portfolio of projects of all sizes across mainly the residential sector.
- Working alongside a talented team, you will be involved in a variety of projects at planning, design into detailed design, tender and construction stages.
- Knowledge to produce 2D technical drawings and 3D models for different disciplines.
- Ability to discuss with engineers the requirements necessary to produce drawings and models.
- Technical knowledge to incorporate necessary changes to drawings and models to generate as builts
- Model authoring and management applications related to 3D and 4D models / visualisations to support tenders / pre-construction works / Construction works
- Model management and coordinating (clash coordination) applications.
- Support in the setup, management and maintenance of CDE (BIM 360)
- Able to communicate well with colleagues, engineers, line manager. Raising any concerns/queries they may have in the right way
- Able to adapt to changing situations in a calm and rational manner and be proactive in finding solutions wherever necessary.
- Adhering to company policies on safety, environmental and quality standards
- The successful candidate will be a qualified Architectural Technologist, having gained your qualification from a recognised institute.
- You will have ideally 5 plus years' post graduate experience.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a deadline focus.
- Have a good working knowledge of industry BIM standards such as the ISO19650 suite and uniclass classification.
- A passion for quality and continuous improvement with a focus on practical delivery.
- Efficient user of office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
- Revit / Navisworks / BIM 360 experience essential.
- Vertex / Escape / Twin Motion experience desired.
- Relevant working experience in Modern Methods of Construction, preferably Light Gauge Steel.
- Experience working in the residential sector is an advantage but not essential
- Good knowledge of Irish building regulations.
- Excellent technical ability and design skills, demonstrated through previous projects.
- You will have excellent communication skills and be a skilled collaborator
