The Role.
GMC are currently looking for an experienced Gas Fitter to join our team for the Leinster region.
The successful Gas Fitter will be working on the GNI maintenance contract on delivery of ongoing metering, siteworks and customer/shipper related activities.
The successful Gas Fitter will need to be available for emergency first response duties as per agreed rota.
The Gas Fitter package within GMC consists of €26/hr plus a substantial stand-by package.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance and reparation of gas appliances and pipework in domestic and commercial buildings.
- High attention to detail to ensure installations are completed safely and accurately.
- Carrying out routine maintenance on existing gas appliances and pipework to ensure that all is operating in a safe and efficient manner.
- Reparation of faulty gas appliances and pipework.
- Ability to interpret plans and drawings accurately in order to undertake work correctly.
The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:
- Full clean driver's license essential.
- Gas installations experience essential.
- Up to date RGI and GDA qualifications essential.
- Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Time management abilities to meet targets.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
