Test Analyst

Location: Dublin, Hybrid ,2 days a week (on occasions extra days in the office will be required)

Contract / Permanent: FTC 12 Months, With further extension

Role:

The client’s ICT and PMO teams support the enabling of ICT and Digital Services for their sector. As part of the customer service strategy, the client is implementing a Case Management Solution (CMS) to track individual customer service queries across channels and agents over time. The implementation of an end-to-end case management solution will offer a suite of capabilities that will enable the client to deliver an enhanced customer service experience to both customers and employees.

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing expertise for the creation and execution of test artefacts such as strategies, approaches, plans, scenarios, and test cases, as well as conducting hands-on testing across the project lifecycle.

The Test Analyst must leverage Microsoft Azure DevOps to implement a formal and structured testing approach, ensuring that all aspects of testing are documented and executed efficiently. Prior experience in testing MS Dynamics Case Management Solutions (CMS) is highly desirable. Additionally, the Test Analyst will be responsible for producing high-quality reporting using out-of-the-box tools and creating bespoke reports as necessary, ensuring clear communication and narrative for senior management and the CMS project team.

The Test Analyst is expected to be proficient in all phases of the testing lifecycle and to take responsibility for a variety of test events, depending on the project. This non-exhaustive list includes:

Technical Skills

·         Test Management Software: Familiarity with test management tools, in particular Microsoft Azure DevOps to organize and track testing activities.

·         API Testing: Ability to perform API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured, ensuring seamless integration between software components.

·         Automated testing: proven experience leading testing automation, including test framework set up, developing automated test scripts and integration of automated testing into SDLC.

·         UAT Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of UAT processes, including user story validation, feedback collection, and sign-off criteria.

·         UAT Test Design: Ability to create UAT test scenarios and test cases aligned with user requirements and real-world usage.

·         User-Centric Testing: Skill in designing tests that reflect the end-users' perspective, ensuring that the software meets their needs and expectations.

·         Test Data Management: Knowledge of data sets and configurations that mimic actual user data for realistic UAT scenarios.

·         User Environment Setup: Ability to set up and manage user-specific testing environments that replicate the production environment.

·         User Collaboration Tools: Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms for effective communication with user testers.

·         User Acceptance Criteria: Expertise in defining and validating user acceptance testing to determine when UAT is successful and ready for production.

·         Database Testing: Skills in database testing, including SQL queries and data manipulation for backend testing.

·         Performance Testing Tools: Familiarity with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner for assessing application performance under load.

·         Security Testing: Awareness of security testing tools and methodologies to identify vulnerabilities in applications

Experience Level Required:

·         It is a mandatory requirement, that the Resource proposed has the equivalent of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

·         It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed hold the following qualifications or equivalents:

Ø  ISTQB certified

Ø  Agile framework certification

Ø  ICT Qualification (Level 7 or above)

·       Resource Allocation Plans: Plans for allocating testing resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project timelines.

·       Risk Assessment Reports: Assessments of testing-related risks, along with mitigation strategies and ongoing risk monitoring.

·       Training and Knowledge Transfer Materials: Materials for training team members and stakeholders on testing processes and outcomes.

·         Testing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies, including manual, automated testing and data migration testing with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing testing processes.

·         Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to plan, schedule, and monitor testing activities within the broader project framework.

·         Test expertise: Strong technical skills to manage test cases, testing and ensure meeting test timelines for the project implementation. Hands on testing experience, QA of the test development life cycle.

·         AzureDevOps: Experience in leveraging Azure DevOps for test planning, execution, and reporting. Experience with Azure DevOps for testing workflows, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement.

·         Quality Assurance (QA) Frameworks: Familiarity with QA standards and best practices, such as ISO 9001, to ensure consistent quality across projects.

·         Test Planning and Strategy: Proficiency in creating comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases, including defining entry and exit criteria for testing phases.

·         Test Automation: Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks to assess when and where automation can improve testing efficiency.

·         Metrics and Reporting: Ability to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing, producing regular reports to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
